Gridding a House, Property, or Room for Protection

The way I learned to grid a house or property uses four (4) crystals/gemstones. The stones you use may vary depending on the purpose of the protection grid, and why you are creating it.

Is it a general protection, was there an accident, or did something traumatic happen, and you want to clear and neutralize the energy? Maybe you have spirits wandering through, and you would like to keep them out.

You can grid a property, house, office, or room. You can even grid a special area of a room, such as under the bed in a bedroom.

Grids can be used for anything. You can have multiple grids in your house, each set up for a specific reason, such as protection, love, abundance, and so forth. You can even grid under your bed if you are having trouble sleeping.

While you can create various kinds of grids, the focus here is on protection grids.

Stones/Crystals to Use in a Protection Grid

When I grid a house, property, or office space for protection, I use crystal points (clear quartz) – usually finger-sized. Depending on what you are gridding, you can use larger or smaller crystals.

You can also use selenite for protective grids, as well as black tourmaline, citrine, amethyst, and a few other stones. However, if you are gridding outside, use clear quartz since it isn’t damaged by sun or water.

For creating a protection grid in a room, such as a bedroom or home office, I prefer to use selenite “rods/sticks” (pieces of selenite that are about 3” – 6” long, mostly flat). Selenite repels, absorbs, neutralizes, and transmutes negative energy. I use Selenite to grid my workspace, my bedroom, and other parts of the house. I also put selenite dust in my paint when painting a room to create a “clean & clear” energy in the room that dissipates any negative energy. I put slivers of selenite in water to create a clearing energy spray I can safely use in the whole house.

Clear and Program Your Stones/Crystals

Before placing the stones/crystals in the grid pattern, I clear them. I generally hold them under running water and imagine all unwanted energy they may have picked up before they found their way to me is washed away in the water. Then, I “reset” the crystals and stones to their natural state by infusing them with energy and intending and asking them to return to their natural energy state. It is quite simple.

Other ways to clear the stones:

You can place stones and crystals in the sun for a day.
You can place them under a full moon to recharge them.
Some stones and crystals can be placed in salt or in salt or salt water for a couple of hours. Check before using this method, though. If you are using Selenite or Tourmaline, do not use salt or water, as it erodes them.

The next step is programming the stones, which is simply asking them to become part of a protective grid. If you intuitively feel that they don’t want to do this, honor it and select another stone. Only use stones that agree to participate.

Creating Your Protection Grid

The protection grid layout is super simple… it follows the perimeter of the space you are protecting.

Property: (The land your house or other building you are protecting sits on, or farmland, etc.)

Place your 4 stones/crystals standing upright in the 4 corners of the property.
Dig a shallow hole and “plant” each stone in the ground, standing upright.
This way, they can ground the energy and tap into the earth surrounding the property and under it to strengthen the grid.

House or Room:

Place your 4 stones/crystals in the 4 inside corners of the house or a room.
They can be standing up or lying down.
It doesn’t matter if points are pointing into the room or along the wall.

Set your intention to create a protective space (the process is the same whether it is a house, room, or property).

Once you place the stones, it is time to energetically link them up. Call in your Angels and guides to work with you, if you like.

Linking the Stones/Crystals

Light a candle and calm your mind. You will now link up each of the crystals to create a grid.

I prefer to work in a clockwise motion, starting in the east or northeast. You may choose to invoke angels or Archangel Michael to assist in this.

Starting with the crystal or stone in the eastern (or northeastern) corner, imagine there is a white or gold beam of light going from that crystal or stone to the next one, moving clockwise.

Depending on the shape of the crystal or stone you are using, you can imagine the light is coming from the point, top, or end of that crystal and going to the next crystal, linking them up. Then, imagine the line of light going from that crystal to the next and to the next.

Once all four crystals are connected around the perimeter of the property, or inside of the house, or room, then repeat the process going diagonally, again starting in the east.

Imagine the white or gold light going from one crystal up and over the top of the house or room and back down to the crystal diagonally across from it. Repeat this until all 4 crystals are linked in this way.

Then, do the same diagonal linking process, only this time imagine the diagonal link of the white or gold light going under the property, house, or room. Start in the east and work clockwise.

Closing the Protective Bubble

After you have linked the crystals around the perimeter of the property, house, or room, and linked them both over and under diagonally, it’s time to close that space and form a protective bubble.

Imagine the space between the lines filling with white or gold light and forming a protective bubble around the property, house, or room. It might help if you think of the grid lines/links as a frame for a giant bubble or sphere.

I often start at the top or peak of the diagonal lines and imagine the gold or white light cascading down the sides and under the property, house, or room, like a sheet of rain or liquid light, forming a big bubble around the space that is anchored by the crystals/stones.
