There was a quote today from Transformational Author, Christine Kloser, that inspired me to write this post.
"Give “It” Up.
There’s some “it” in your life that you’re holding onto that simply doesn’t serve you.
Maybe it’s a negative thought or a habit that isn’t in your highest interest.
Whatever that thing is, see if you can take one step towards giving it up today.
Consider writing a letter to it.
Thank it for serving you to this point, and appreciate all of the ways it has helped you or kept you safe until now.
Then, bless it as you lovingly give “it” up (perhaps by safely offering it to a fire) and open to new possibilities in the process."
~ Christine Kloser
Give “It” Up...
With the assistance of the full moon this week, I've been "giving "it" up.
My "it" was a story I've been telling myself for a couple of years now around not knowing what I want.
I realized that I do indeed know, except I had an ancient fear named "rejection."
It was the concern around rejection that has been keeping me from stepping out boldly and fully embracing and embodying what I came here to do.
I am so grateful that I became aware of this and for the past couple of days, been doing releasing on it.
Wonder Woman to the Rescue!
One area that I’ve noticed many heart-centered people might want to look at “giving it up” is thinking or believing that they have to do it all, fix it or rescue.
Those of us who are helpers and/or healers have to have strong boundaries or we can lose ourselves in the process.
And we also need to understand that we can't "fix" anyone. It is up to them. We simply guide, facilitate and nudge, while holding them in an envelope of love and support (from an energy and thought perspective).
How About You?
I shared one of mine, and one I that I notice in those around me. Now what's going on with you?
No, you don't have to publicly share what yours is (you can in the comments area below if you’d like to though).
It would be really cool if you took a long, deep, objective look at where you might be "defending or protecting "IT" when it is really time to show "IT" the door.
And for those who like some music inspiration... here's what played in my mind:
"Hit the road Jack, and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more.
Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more..."
Liberate Yourself! Lighten your load. Let "IT" go...
Blessings & Love,
Karen
PS. The full moon was Tuesday, August 20th. It was in the air sign Aquarius. Full moons are a time of completion, letting go, releasing, "giving it up" -- This full moon vibrates to a 7 energy.
So what thoughts, ways of thinking is it time to let go of now because they no longer serve your highest good? You can read my thooughts on this new moon here.
Lyric credit: "Hit The Road Jack" is a song written by Percy Mayfield.
