We’re in that in-between place where the old ways are breaking down, and the new ways are yet to come online.
It is making people very uncomfortable, and some are acting out.
Really acting out... like throwing tantrums.
What’s going on?
Well, on a universal level, we’re in the early stages of a deconstruction phase ushered in by the Age of Aquarius.
On a personal level, we are shedding our “old skin” to allow more of our true selves to surface.
By “old skin,” I mean the roles, masks, beliefs, behaviors, thoughts, conditioning, and so on that you operated within but were never truly you.
Think of this process as undergoing metamorphosis. Becoming more of your authentic self.
It’s messy, confusing, and unsettling.
Especially when we try to cling to what used to work for us in the past, but for some inexplicable reason, it just ain't working well anymore.
If you'd like to explore more about this, I wrote about it in this blog: You’re Not Lost, You’re in The Void.
As sage Zachery Fisher says:
“We naturally want to hold on to what feels familiar, even when it no longer fits who we are becoming. But change is rarely happening to punish you. More often, it is life clearing away what has become too small for the next version of you.”
It can be intense and wonky out there, and still, there is tremendous beauty and good to be seen.
As the old ways break down, be patient.
Allow yourself to flow with it… even if it feels crazy for a while.
Dealing with life can be messy.
Create space for you to recalibrate your nervous system.
Whatever emotions, feelings, and looping thoughts you are grappling with,
- grief
- stress
- overwhelm
- change fatigue
- loss (of any kind)
- fear
- anger
- confusion
- frustration
- checking out
- or anything else
Pause and take a time-out.
Breathe, rest, and take the time you require to come home to yourself.
Even if you can only manage to grab 10 or 20 minutes each day.
Claim that time for you.
Seek help if you need it.
Sending you lots of love as we surf this season of change.
With deep appreciation for you,
